Where has the time gone? I cannot believe my girls are FOUR MONTHS OLD! It truly has been the BEST thing that has EVER happened to me. EVER. I literally stare at them all the time. How did this happen? How did my heart become so full so fast? How? It was always fun, but now they are interacting more and smiling and responding to things that I do. Every day is different and every day they give me the confidence that I can do this. I can be their mother and I can take care of them. Together we are learning and going on this amazing journey. I’m constantly thanking them, and God, for allowing me such a privilege.
Obviously one of the fun parts is dressing them. Contrary to popular belief I do not “dress” them every day. It’s just not practical. Most of the time I’m throwing on onesies with cute socks because we are hanging out at home. I want them to be comfortable and it’s just EASY. Before having them I pictured me putting them in the most stylish little outfits every day. Yeah no. You learn very quickly, especially with 2, that you do what’s easy and easy is a one step outfit. I mean let’s be real. Even the extra step of taking off leggings and then unsnapping the onesie to change a diaper can get a little overwhelming with a crying baby. Other days I step out of our comfort zone and play stylist. OH EM GEE! Those girls are the CUTEST THINGS EVER. I tear up at the preciousness that has evolved in front of my eyes. Don’t get me wrong they are beautiful naked, but when I get them all dolled up my heart explodes. I try to live in the moment the best I can. Every mother has told me to enjoy it that it goes so fast so I make a conscience effort not to say ” I can’t wait for…”. Sometimes I’ll catch myself and immediately stop. I’m completely happy in the moment and don’t want to take it for granted.
Here’s just a few photos I have snapped in our fourth month. Dylan’s facial expressions are priceless. John calls her the girl with 100 faces. Ha! Scarlett loves to smile with her entire face and her mouth open. I can’t wait to hear what you think! Ha!
Happy baby! Yes I’m aware she’s wearing her sisters bib. We grab what we can folks.
Seriously? Can they get any cuter?
Yo! Just the coolest girls around.
With her Aunt Haley. You think D learned her fly look from her? Ha!
They’re getting so good at holding their heads up
No matter where they start they always end up near each other and most of the time end up holding hands. I just can’t!
The swag! Ha!
Still my favorite thing to do. Sigh
Love our fun socks!
The best smile in the world!
Dylan you crack me up!
