I’ve decided that fall is definitely my favorite time of year. Not only is it football season, (War Eagle), but the crisp cool air and the smell of pumpkin muffins instantly puts me in a great mood. I’ve realized that fall is also the time of year I feel most like myself. I think I finally figured out why. I dress the best in the fall. I’m a boot, leather leggings, leather jacket, fur vest, plaid shirt kinda of gal. Lucky for me most of the above can be worn at the same time when it’s a bit chillier outside. This fall is a little different because, well, I’m a mom. So being a mom means less time to put said cool outfit together. I used to think I was rushed in the mornings before heading to work, but boy was I wrong. Now I’m lucky if I have a free hour to shower and “play” in the closet to come up with something that is comfortable and stylish. As most moms feel at this stage in the game, I feel uninspired. Especially because I can’t tell you the last time I actually finished a magazine. Not even browsing it. They all keep piling in and I keep piling them on top of my ottoman. I stare at the glossy covers as I feed my, hopefully, stylish little girls. Ha!
I took a little break from work and stalked pinterest and other websites for some fall and daily inspiration. What I’m loving most about this season is that we are keeping it casual, but we are FINALLY dressing it up a notch. Whose excited for pointed toe stiletto pumps? This girl! I mean these days I’ve been more casual than ever, but didn’t you like the days where people actually tried to look put together? Everything has gotten so relaxed that grudge seems to be attainable fashion that most girls seek. I think it’s time we take our daily wardrobe to new heights.
Here are some of the looks that caught my eye. I hope they help inspire you!
