It’s that time of year again, Award Season. There’s getting to be so many award shows it’s hard to keep up. And what do they all mean? If you get an award at one show, isn’t it a guarantee you will get another at the next ceremony as well? What is the difference between all of them?
All the same movies, actors, with the exception of a few, get nominated throughout the season. I know that Emmy’s mean day time T.V. , right? With all the confusion, the only thing I can keep up with is the fashion. After all, it is my favorite part. I love to see what everyone shows up in and what the “experts” deem acceptable and fashionable. I must say, most of the time I do not agree with their interpretation. But fashion is like art, except it’s a living, breathing form. Everyone is going to have a different opinion. For example, Julia Roberts shows up to the SAG awards in this black jumpsuit.
Under normal circumstances, I would have LOVED the look, but HELLO, it’s the SAG awards! It’s your chance to wear dresses you will NEVER be able to wear again and unless you’ve been invited to another award show, you will NEVER have the opportunity to dress in those couture gowns again. What I wouldn’t give to have reason to wear something like that! The last black tie event I attended, women were wearing cocktail dresses at best. Some had wool SUITS on. Myself and only seven other ladies followed the etiquette rule by wearing floor length gowns. Talk about sticking out like a sore thumb, ha! Here are my best and worst from last Sunday’s award show.
Agree, Disagree? I want to hear what you think! Who were your favorites and who should have known better?!
