Spring 2015: Nail And Hair Trends

As the seasons change, so do the trends. I always love watching runway shoes and of course, flipping through magazines for the up and coming trends. One of my favorite things to look for is what’s new in hair and nails.

I love nail trends because nails are not permanent. You can change your mood simply by dapping a cotton ball in acetone and starting all over. It’s so fun. You can go from ultra chic, to rocker babe, to classic Coco Chanel.

With hair it’s different. I love hair trends because most of the time I can’t recreate it. Sure, I go and get my hair done and they make me feel beautiful and on trend, but to do it myself is completely different. So in a way, hair trends for me are fantasy. Who doesn’t want to live in a fantasy every now and then?

So what’s the low down? With nails its simple. The trend is called negative space. I’m not quite sure what that means, LOL, but I completely understand when I look at the photos. Pretty cool.

I love the mixing of the colors and textures. There’s always one color that is hot for the season and I’m surprised that on several websites they are projecting the “it” color to be a soft baby pink. I’m not upset about it at all. It’s so clean, simple and delicate. I used to wear Sugar Daddy by Essie so I’m definitely a fan of the soft baby pink.

As far as hair trends, braids will continue to dominate, which I still can’t master but LOVE and low ponytails. With these freezing temps, I am so ready to start rocking some spring trends.
