People ask me all the time where I got my love for shoes. I tell them they don’t have to look very far. There’s this amazing lady named Angelina who I grew up watching get dressed by the latest trends.
She did so on a budget too. I remember she was always wearing heels no matter what. I happen to call this lady mom. My mom’s shoe collection is probably worse than mine and I OWN a shoe store. What I love about her is she lives by her own rules. Sure she wants to look good, but at the same time, she’s not afraid to try things. She was a bit more of a rule breaker in her younger days but let me tell you, this 62 year old lady (sorry mom) still rocks heels. That’s right. She’s not one of those ladies that says she’s too old for heels. She wears them and wears them proudly.
She doesn’t only wear heels. Your feet need a break too sometimes. So she will wear flats and sandals, but she’ll put on a heel in a heartbeat. I love that she will. When customers tell me they can’t, I immediately reference my own mother. Let me clarify, she never looks inappropriate and always dresses her age. So with all that being said, I’m here to tell you, I get my love for shoes honestly. It’s in my blood. Being lucky enough to both have husbands that support our love for shoes helps too. Could you imagine being restricted on something that comes natural to both you? Yikes! Thanks Dad and John for all your support. Ha! We love you!
