Wedding Wear

Summer wedding season is upon us and chances are you’re invited to at least one if not multiple weddings. Whether you’re attending a classic black tie affair or a rustic barn wedding, we’re here to help you decode that fancy invitation and figure out what to wear to your next soiree.

The two most important things to consider are the time and venue location. For church weddings and indoor receptions after 6:00 p.m. it is best to opt for cocktail or black-tie attire.  Here are some of our picks for an elegant night wedding.

If you’re heading to an outdoor ceremony followed by indoor reception or vice versa, pick a shoe that won’t sink into the ground. Heels stuck in the grass isn’t a good look for anybody. Opt for a chunkier heel or a metallic wedge that can go either dressy or more casual.

If you aren’t sure which route to take, remember it is ALWAYS better to be overdressed than underdressed. People can’t hate you for looking great. In this case, reach for a classic pump in a fun color or metallic. You can never go wrong with a pump, they are always in style for day or night!

If you’re still stumped, give us a call or come by the store with your dress! We absolutely love helping our customers put outfits together and would more than happy to give you our input. I hope this makes deciding what to wear a tad bit easier.  Now, grab your shoes and hit the dance floor at your next wedding!
