Pantone Fashion Color Report

Today we are covering Pantone’s Fashion Color Report for Fall 2013, highlighting a lifelong favorite of ours personally, Acai!

With colder temperatures around the corner, don’t turn to all black and grey just yet. Allow Pantone’s fall hues to weave through your winter wardrobe to create an array of moods ranging from sophisticated chic to to refreshingly bold. Need a visual, simply channel a breathtaking mountain side bursting with versatile shades of leaves turning their respective colors.

While we fully plan to integrate all hues Pantone suggests for fall into our closet, Acai is our leading lady! Acai is romantic, glamorous and a rich palette to combine with emerald or a deep red.

Pantone has long been the leading, color-trend authority in the fashion industry. To cover Acai in detail, they interviewed designer, Nanette Lepore on the plum tone and how the hue inspires and is implemented throughout her personal collections.

Pantone Interview with Nanette Lepore

Inspired by the darker side of nature: The beauty of agate, wrought from molten masses of ancient lava, as well as the iridescent sheen of oil on water.

Prominent colors
Midnight Violet woven with warm strands of Copper pairs well with Cool Steel Blue. Strong Viridian Green swirls with Olive and Coppery undertones in an oil slick print.

Signature color
Midnight Violet is autumn’s deep and luxurious new neutral; it pairs well with all of the colors in my collection.

Must-have item
A hologram handbag will add excitement to your fall wardrobe by providing a pop of color to darker looks.

Color advice
Be bold with color and experiment with new and unexpected mixes.
