Support National Diabetes Awareness Month

There’s no denying shoes & accessories is our heart, so is supporting a good cause. November is National Diabetes Awareness month so in lieu of the effort to raise awareness, we attempted to recreate the official diabetes ribbon with shoes!

The American Diabetes Association shared some valuable quick facts to help grasp how many are affected:

  • Nearly 26 million children & adults in the US have diabetes
  • Another 79 million Americans have prediabetes and are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes
  • The American Diabetes Association estimates that the total national cost of diagnosed diabetes in the US is $174 billion

You can post a photo of your own or view other images where people have uploaded on the ADA’s facebook page of what a day in the life of living with diabetes means here. This is a phenomenal way for others to visualize the disease and burden that it bears. CVS is donating $1 for every image uploaded to the American Diabetes Association so take a minute and support the cause!

  1. Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
